When the
mountains are your office, free days are spent in another way. Or are they?
After
walking up and down the Grand Paradiso 2 times in the last week, alpine
climbing was not my idea of a day off. I wanted to do something to challenge myself, without the risk and the exhaustion of the high mountains.
So we went
rock climbing! Today Olly and Miles and I climbed at Church grag. A small
climbing area well hidden in the Chamonix
forest. Not known by too many people, so there are no crowds. A big
overhanging wall, 35 meter high. Amazing routes on big holds.
So even
when your arms are tired from holding the rope the whole week you can still
climb here. A wonderful way to spend a day off!
